The Houston Essence Behavioral Consortium (HEBC) is a training initiative between Essence Psychological Health Services, PLLC and Houston Behavioral Health, PLLC and Essence Psychological Health Services, PLLC. The goal of the HBEC is to provide exemplary experiences to trainees and licensed professionals interested in careers in private practice. Trainees will have the opportunity to hone their skills in the treatment of anxiety, trauma, addictions, depression, stress management, relationship issues, and grief and loss. In addition, trainees will receive specialized training in suicide and self-harm, sexual dysfunctions, gender, and sexual identity concerns, couples and family therapy, law enforcement, and women’s mental health. Finally, trainees will gain the business and entrepreneurial foundation needed to launch and grow a successful solo or group practice. The strength of the HEBC lies in its mission to demystify behavioral entrepreneurism in order to help mental health practitioners become successful business owners. As well as in its commitment to clinical training and support that is holistic and ethnically, culturally, and gender-appropriate. 

Private Practice, Reimagined.

Created by Drs. Jasmine Ross and Meagan N. Houston, the HEBC joins their years of diverse clinical experience and independent practice management together to support the next generation of mental health practitioners in their private practice endeavors. Drs. Ross and Houston have come together with goal of training mental health practitioners to launch successful independent practices that meet the need of diverse populations and satisfies their desires to work in environments that align with their personal values.
